Liberals caught red-handed in robocall scandal

Well, whatd'ya know?

Following months of baseless smear allegations against the Conservative Party, it turns out the illegal robocalls in Guelph were coming from the Liberals all along!

Today the CRTC announced the Guelph Liberal Association was in violation of CRTC telecommunications rules, fining them $4,900 and forcing the currently-sitting Liberal MP to undertake a "comprehensive compliance program."

How far did these illegal activities reach? How many votes were improperly swayed as a result of this illegal behaviour? Who in the Liberal leadership was involved?  And, most importantly, when is the Guelph byelection?

Let's see how long it takes for this inconvenient fact to appear in the Toronto Star, CBC, or Globe and Mail...

  3. CBCNATION didn't waste time to smooth over the story. I guess that they were ORDERED to do so.

Here is a repeated comment which I left at bcblue. Read very clearly and if possible get that tape:

CBC didn't waste time all right 'TO' smooth over the story. Here isthe comment I wrote at bcblue but had tp highlighted for you to read and like I said CBC NATION wasted no time:

Just heard CBC news with Carol McNeil, she had a CBC reporter on and she led off with the comment that Robocalls on their own were not illegal, however, the way the Liberal Guelph riding used the robocalls were. Question How come when the Robocalls originally hit the airways did CBC not use this same analogy but just ran with the headline Conservative Party of Canada stole election? Please review CBC report with Carol McNeil at noon.

  4. Will we ever hear if and when the fine is paid? The "compliance" program should have Frank banging on doors in his riding to solicit donations from his Liberal voters to pay the bill, until it's actually paid.

  5. What this is all about is classic lefty projection.
They accuse conservatives of all the worst things that they do themselves.
Like robocalls, astroturfing and voter suppression.

  6. Keep writing the CBC Ombudsman demanding retractions and apologies for falsely accusing the CPC of Robocalls without evidence.

While it probably won't generate a retraction or on air apology. the sheer number of responses should let them know there is a growing movement against them (and there will soon be enough voters to demand an end to the $1 billion subsidy)

  7. Anonymous, there are a few liberal mps who still owe loans to EC since 2004/5. But for years they get asking EC for extensions but so far nothing was repaid.
So, if those lib mps have not repaid their loans why then should Variote pay the $4,900.

Yet, when some western farmers decided to sell their own wheat instead of going through the CWB. Ralph Goodale lib mp had them put in prison. Yet for years the libs who refuse to repay the loans walk freely. And not only that they have the audacity to criticize the cpc on the smallest nonsense.

What is saving the lpc is the media.

The msm is going to play it safe for a while and when things die down and the public return to their usual 'daze', the media will continue with the manipulation regarding to the cpc.
